DGL Group Limited (DGL) & Inhance Technologies LLC are pleased to announce to the barrier packaging industry that both parties have entered into a licensing agreement with respect to Inhance Technologies' proprietary fluorination technology. Under the arrangement, DGL has been granted an exclusive license for the use of Inhance Technologies' proven and proprietary fluorination technology and processes in the Asia Pacific Region.
The alignment of Inhance Technologies highly valuable and proprietary technology and DGL’s operational strengths and market positioning will ensure that fluorination technology continues to be offered to customers and the wider industry in the APAC region.
Fluorination of plastic containers is commonly used around the world for altering the surface of plastic to enhance its properties, predominantly for the purpose of decreasing container permeability by imparting barrier properties and increasing resistance to solvent based chemicals. Crop protection, automotive, mining, construction, lawn & garden, animal health and pharmaceuticals, to name a few, are all markets that have historically relied on this technology and with the licensing agreement, can continue to do so.
